The Story Behind the Stories
C. P. Marshall is a sixth-generation Texan, songwriter, and Central Texas writer drawn to stories about loyalty, survival, justice, damage, and the choices people make when the easy road is gone.

A lifelong fan of westerns, frontier stories, romantic suspense, crime fiction, and character-driven action, Marshall writes about flawed men and women tested by violence, love, betrayal, reputation, and the pasts they can’t quite outrun. His stories are built around dangerous places, hard-earned loyalty, buried sins, and the kind of moral choices that reveal who a person really is.

With roots in Southeast Texas and a childhood shaped by East Texas, Marshall now lives in Central Texas with his wife, their two daughters, and a family built around dogs, music, laughter, stubborn hope, and the belief that the best stories usually begin with people who refuse to quit.

His work is shaped by Texas backroads, old songs, barbecue smoke, working people, family loyalty, hard-earned memories, and the kind of stories that stay with people long after the fire burns low.
When he is not writing, cooking, spending time with family, or chasing dogs around, he is probably somewhere on a Texas back road chasing the next story, the next song, or another memory worth keeping.
